    Sorry for this totally off topic post, but I need some advice regarding cool, hip restaurants in Orange County. My coolest, hippest girlfriend from Seattle is going to be in Anaheim for business and we plan to get together for a girls night on the town on Saturday. Can any OC neighbors recommend a cool place to take her that’s no further than 45 minutes away from Disneyland (in any direction). Sadly she doesn’t like sushi, but she likes everything else. It can be somewhat pricey, not over the top, but it’s a friend I haven’t seen for over a year and I want us to have a great time.

    seattle-relo: Have you ever been to Sapphire Laguna in Old Laguna Beach? Definitely pricey, but the food is good, interesting menu, and great views/ambience.

    Seattle-relo, have you been to Las Brisas in Laguna Beach? The food is wonderful, not too pricey and the ambiance and views of the ocean cannot be beat. If you guys do go here and you walk down to the ocean, be careful if it’s at night-especially after a couple of margaritas-, some of the steps leading down to the ocean from the restaurant are very steep. If you choose this place, don’t let that scare you from going though, there are alternate ways down to the water than the particular set of steps I’m talking about.
