Just found out last night about a family member on the east coast who is person #4 we know with it. Supposedly this person is in the hospital. I am trying to verify with that person’s son whether that is true or not – we heard it like 4th hand and the son is a close friend of mine.
Heard back from the son. He hadn’t been told. He lives overseas and it looks like things happened so fast that news traveled back channel through the family.
I’m trying to track down the origination of the information.
He’s in a tough spot. Can’t get info from hosp. Wouldn’t help for him to come out to east coast because hospital wouldn’t let him in anyway. Not much he can do except wait for word.
April 19, 2020 at 12:46 PM #816648FlyerInHiGuestSo far my business partners’ parents in NJ have Covid and staying home. 70s in good health, no chronic conditions. They are recovering nicely. They should be fine.
And a friend in Vegas has Covid 19. He’s staying at home after his wife took him to ER yesterday. About 60yo, “average” by American standards which means chubby. Don’t know if he has chronic conditions. Hope he recovers soon because he’s super nice.

Veuve Clicquot champagne $38.95.
$299 vitamix. Don’t think I saw it that low.
Toto bidet toilet $259. Made in Malaysia
Deflation coming?April 20, 2020 at 9:03 AM #816674The-ShovelerParticipantA test of 200 people just outside Boston found that 32% had been exposed to the coronavirus, compared to an official rate of 2%

IMO probably a larger percent in LA
When this is all said and done I think it will result in boy cried wolf syndrome and voter backlash, it could have been done IMO with a lot less drastic measures in SoCal.

The death panels are here.not that thats a bad thing
April 21, 2020 at 6:43 AM #816736spdrunParticipantHopefully, they’ll watch hospitalization/positive test rates carefully over the following two weeks to avoid spread becoming exponential. Problem with this bug is that one person can pass it to between 2 and 6 people (depending on whom you ask and local conditions) and generation time is about 5 days. Time to hospitalization is about 12 days. So one new positive test in hospital means many new cases coming down the line in a week or two.

I am all for it. In a few weeks, we’ll find out whether or not the lockdown was necessary. I am glad I am in CA and not in GA.

L.a. Proved too much for the man
(Too much for the man, he couldn’t make it)
So he’s leavin’ the life he’s come to know, ooh
(He said he’s goin’)
He said he’s goin’ back to find
(Goin’ back to find)
Ooh ooh ooh, what’s left of his world
The world he left behind
Not so long ago
He’s leavin’ (leavin’)
On that midnight train to Georgia
(Leavin’ on the midnight train)
Yeah, said he’s goin’ back
(Goin’ back to find)
To a simpler place in time
(Whenever he takes that ride) oh yes he is
(Guess who’s gonna be right by his side)Maybe better to take the midnight train to l.a.
