In Italy they are performing triage to see who gets treatment (who they think they can save)
not enough staff or equipment
I guess that’s one way to reduce future pension obligations for Italy.
March 12, 2020 at 10:00 AM #815381CoronitaParticipantEveryone is eventually going to get this virus. The reports are saying that the virus can remain in an infected person’s body as long as 20-24 days from recovery. I think we should just accept that’s the fact that it’s not preventable and some people are going to die from it, like everything else. If it happens, it happens. Meanwhile, I’m going to enjoy my buy one get one free deals at Ranch 99, lol.

The key is for not everyone to get it all at once but to spread it out over time so hospital beds are not overwhelmed.

Agreed. That’s why maybe in this case it’s better to have this sooner versus later if eventually we are all going to get it. Especially since the data seems to suggest younger people tend to fair better, provided there is nothing else wrong with that person

Some peoople might already have it and already got over it. They just never showed any severe enough symptoms to call out a need to have it tested. Quite possible for some people, their body reacts the same way as if they got a common cold, and then those symptoms just go away.
March 12, 2020 at 2:40 PM #815390FlyerInHiGuestOur family just got a relative into hospice/nursing home after a 2 week hospital stay. Many places are waiting for the fallout of coronavirus.
The health care establishment is worried about the system collapsing under a flood of cases. Hospitals don’t even have testing kits. Good luck getting a test if you request one, haha. We’re so well prepared, indeed!
Real estate wise, vrbo is icing on the cake, if you’re a good manager and can create a guest experience to expectations. You can have some properties as yearly/monthly/weekly/daily. Many monthly turn into multiple months.
vrbo/airbnb is very interesting. Many guests prefer it over hotels and are willing to pay more. So it could turn out that people prefer to get an Airbnb over a hotel room. More possibilities of contamination in hotel rooms with more turnover and common AC systems.
When time time comes, the solution is to not allow anyone over a certain age (like 65) into a hospital.
Either they stay at home or you move them into a separate facility somewhere else. Basically just like Italy and China.March 12, 2020 at 4:03 PM #815394CoronitaParticipant[img_assist|nid=26983|title=lol|desc=|link=node|align=left|width=506|height=500]
