And, yes, you are so right: Scarlet cleaned my clock.
It’s good that you have finally admitted that Allan.
A tip of the hat to ye my friend. 🙂
I drove a 1968 Black, Chevy Impala coupe. Big block 427 with a four speed Hurst shifter and slotted steel Corvette wheels. A real sleeper. If I knew then what I know now….well, woulda, shoulda, coulda…..
Thank you for giving me another opportunity to remind folks to take the time to ask Jeff Bridges to give up the Hyundai voice-overs and return to his roots.
It worked with Bruce Springsteen’s Wal Mart debacle, it could work with Jeff Bridges.
Here is the link to his site to do your small part to try and suppress the unfettered and unfair advancement of yet another imported automobile.

It’s not protectionism or whining or socialism, etc.
It’s just good, common sense.
HIE-YUN-DIE does NOT rhyme with Sunday. ;)
Bruce Springsteen’s Wal Mart debacle – Curious what that’s about. Did Walmart lose customers? Did Bruce drop Walmart? And the ultimate question, did that debacle save jobs?
btw, Hyundai does rhyme with Sunday.

I assume Koreans know how to pronounce a Korean company name better than non-Koreans?
I’m pretty sure the “Sunday” thing is NOT an advertising gimmick.

Bruce Springsteen’s Wal Mart debacle
dbapig: After his fans called him out on it, Springsteen admitted in a letter to the NYT that he was wrong to sell an exclusive CD at Wal Mart, the poster child for labor abuse:
As for Hyundai, I have actually heard Jeff Bridges pronounce it HUN-DIE in older commercials.
The Springsteen snafu was my real inspiration for the Ask Jeff Bridges to dump Hyundai cause.
If “The Boss” was man enough to admit to a bit of hypocrisy I thought maybe Jeff Bridges might think twice about it too.
By the way, if you have a change of heart, you can ask Jeff Bridges to drop the Hyundai endorsement by going to his website here:

Maybe Jeff Bridges will surprise us all by bailing out of the Hyundai humiliation.
Ya still didn’t answer a question. Did his action save jobs?
Yes Jeff may have used the wrong pronunciation in OLDER commercials. The Hyundai marketing probably thought it was time to correct the wrong pronunciation. The point is:
Hyundai DOES Rhyme with Sunday.I didn’t know Jeff Bridges knew Korean language better than Korean people? No wonder he’s your favorite actor…
