I used to think just like this. Would never admit it, but I was miserable. There is no way that you can possibly have a happy life if you think there’s no point to it. Why not just become a heroin addict? Then you’ll feel good all the time. Acknowledging that there’s no point to it all gives me an immense sense of freedom and calm.
But we’re all wired differently.

OK fine. You don’t like the heroin idea I take it. My sister-in-law could totally set you up, if you do. She’s been feeling excellent for nearly twenty years now.
