Thoughts on Wateridge in Sorrento Valley

The smallest model is around 1100 sq-ft, then the 3 bedroom models are 1390 sq-ft and 1610 sq-ft is the largest one. I’d consider 50% more sq-ft to be quite bigger. Especially since all 3 models are 3 stories, you’ll feel the difference in the common areas.

I toured when they were around $200k. I think they’re pretty nice for townhomes.

The area is convenient for work but shopping might be a pain. You either have to drive east on MM quite a ways or head North on Sorrento Parkway or the 5 to get to the Del Mar shopping center at Del Mar Heights and El Camino Real. Or go south to the UTC Costa Verde shopping area or slightly further to Trader Joe’s/Ralphs/Whole Foods. I wouldn’t like any of those drives since I shop a lot. Maybe I’m spoiled since I live, work, and shop all within a 5 mile radius. I think Costa Verde is your best shopping bet, otherwise you’ll be driving 5+ miles just to go shopping.

Thanks for the replies everyone. While I would kill to have them drop back down to the 200s, do you think low to mid 400s is a reasonable price for these units? I like the location despite it being far away from shopping and assuming Qualcomm doesn’t go belly up there should be decent rental demand if I decide to move out.
