ParticipantI am not happy about the legislation at all. It was rushed into passage, without a full debate. It does nothing about tort-reform. It is poorly thought out and hardly anyone read the damn thing. The bill was poisoned from the beginning because of the backroom deals done. The leaders i the Congress don’t care what their constituents say. I believe we will eventually see a repeal of this bill.
I am all for providing healthcare for those that can’t provide it for themselves. But I have lived in and experience socialized medicine. It is not the utopian experience that Michael Moore would like you to think. It is impossible to see a doctor in any amount of reasonable time. The quality of care can be good but often times is not. And this was in a 1st world country.
How can all of you say “It isn’t that great but it’s better than nothing.” Have we really become so apathetic that we will allow our elected officials come up with and approve a trillion dollar program and be okay with it because it is the “lesser of two evils”? No wonder this country is going in the shitter.

Your job in this system is to eat the garbage, take the drugs, get into the hospital often and early, and die when there is no more money to be had from you. The health care bill just ensures that TPTB will have access to more money to keep this system going.
Back to work, slaves![/quote]
I agree CONCHO. But you can choose not to participate in that system. Good for you, but bad for most people.
