Honestly Brian, I have nothing against France. I enjoyed it immensely. I did find a bit French culture to be more cliquish and to be quite frank, boring.
It’s a language thing.
We like people we can easily communicate with better.

Ben Franklin sure loved France. He nailed half the French royal court.
France is very enjoyable to visit, especially the southern regions (where they aren’t flaming assholes like the Parisians). That Gallic superiority even still remains is amusing; they’ve been in perpetual decline since Waterloo.
Brian, being a Francophile, you’ll enjoy this German joke.
Q: Why are there so many trees on the Champs Elysee?
A: Because the Wehrmacht likes to march in the shade!August 9, 2011 at 4:27 PM #716910Allan from FallbrookParticipant

Honestly Brian, I have nothing against France. White racists in Mississippi… Black racists beating white people in Wisconsin (which seems was hardly reported in the press). (Sorry to go off subject) This really has nothing to do with the TP but it does make one wonder if disenfranchised feel more emboldened each day. Especially each day when they hear about those evil rich people.

I think that ‘getting rid of’ the landed aristocracy has actually helped France. I wouldn’t be too surprised to see all sorts of tax exemptions for the landed aristocracy in Britain. It is interesting to note of the wealthy media people in the US buying large land holdings in Britain.. though I don’t hear that much of it occurring France.August 9, 2011 at 11:37 PM #716995ucodegenParticipant
Of course, Britain has royalty and an international upper class.
