Arraya: Did this catch you by surprise? I’ll admit I was very taken aback by the London riots. Compared to what’s been going on in places like Spain and Greece, the UK has seemed very quiet. Maybe too quiet, I guess.

But I thought that they had an extensive apparatus of security cameras to monitor the city.
Perhaps the security system is only in central London and doesn’t extend to the oulying areas.
