Now the question becomes: Will the media function as a true watchdog and bring the truth to light, or will they join Obama in a massive spin campaign to obfuscate the facts or downplay the significance of all of this?
Hehehe, is this a real question? Cause I think we both know the answer is rather painfully obvious. Actions speak louder than words and the media has been verbally blowing Obama since the beginning. I think it was NPR that did a study that showed the media’s ‘Obama bias’. It was rather strong, far stronger than Clinton or Bush in their first few years. They arnt gonna stop now.
When even NPR is calling an “Obama Bias” then you know it’s really bad.

I mean, WTF? And, why is the MSM not all over this? I mean they damn near lynched Clinton for suborning perjury in the Lewinsky case, but they’re mum on what amounts to unlawful coercion, usurpation of corporate power, undue influence and nearly extortion.
Allan, what does it have to do with Obama? That’s water under the bridge as far as Obama is concerned.
The Obama haters are really stretching this one.
“On September 14, 2008 Bank of America announced its intention to acquire Merrill Lynch for Bank of America common stock.”

If we focus on the fact that the Federal Reserve Banks are private banks owned by its member banks, then Bernanke did nothing wrong in pressuring one of of the member banks. It would be like the CEO of GE, pressuring the CEO of NBC to buy another network.

While I don’t support the Federal Reserve threatening bank CEOs as these emails imply… all Ken Lewis had to do was say, “No. I don’t like the deal. Fire me.”
Very true, BofA could simply have said no. It’s very questionable whether Bernanke even had the power to fire Lewis from BofA.
