The next big thing?

What is going to be the next big thing? If I am correct right now there are people buying something up. I am not sure what , but in a year or two you will start hearing rumblings about how “THIS” is the best investment and these people quietly buying now will sell off for billions while all the mini trumps jump in and try to make millions, while tohers get in too late and crash and burn.

I got into the .com a little too late. I made some profit but nothing close to others I knew. I missed the metals runup. Some metal stocks litteraly went up 10 fold in a year. I sat on a metal stock for 2 years. Sold it, broke even and a year later it went from $7 to $70. Too bad. I missed the oil boom. I should have dipped some money in a company like Valero that went up about 20X. I really missed the real estate boom. I remember in 2001-2002 driving through carmel valley and seeing signs for new 5 bedroom, 4 bathrooms homes from the mid $300s and laughing at who would want to live in this desert area. Little did I know…

So I ask you piggs. What is the next big thing?

I think even the shorts have made their money. When the DOW had its two big dips the Money Makers probably walked away with a lot of cash. Usually by the time you hear about a good deal, its too late.

I remember about 8 years ago artificial hearts was the next big thing. I knew a lot of people that invested and maybe doubled their money based on the hype, Time magazine had stories, 60 minute ahd a story but nothing really panned out in an investment sense. Maybe this time around it might be the next big thing.
