Shark fact #33: Shark species of some kind already existed 400 million years ago – before dinosaurs appeared. They’re such good survivors that they’ve had little need to evolve in the last 150 million years.

The San Diego based restaurant chain Anthony’s Fish Grotto (owned by the Ghio family) boasted 3 different varieties of grill-broiled shark on their menu: Mako, Thresher, & Soupfin.Shark Opinion: Working there 5 years as a starving student, they kept me well fed. Thresher is the best – meaty, yet delicate, not fishy tasting at all.
Shark Myth: Many diners believed that eating shark on a regular basis would increase your chance of being attacked by sharks when swimming in the ocean. I now avoid surfing when possible.
