You win. Muslims are our biggest danger. Their fundies are more dangerous than our fundies. Lets declare a holy war, pick up our bombing in pakistan and put all arabs in camps. That should help.
Maybe they just have more faith and we should turn to our holy books for answers on how to fix this problem.

Good grief[/quote]Oh noes, the straw man attack!
The Straw Man fallacy is committed when a person simply ignores a person’s actual position and substitutes a distorted, exaggerated or misrepresented version of that position. This sort of “reasoning” has the following pattern:
1. Person A has position X.
2. Person B presents position Y (which is a distorted version of X).
3. Person B attacks position Y.
4. Therefore X is false/incorrect/flawed.This sort of “reasoning” is fallacious because attacking a distorted version of a position simply does not constitute an attack on the position itself. One might as well expect an attack on a poor drawing of a person to hurt the person.
Congratulations you have just used a losing argument, hereby proving your inability to debate the facts.
Still, I’m glad you admit I’m right. However, I do not advocate more war. I would just like people to be aware of the motivations of our enemies. Isn’t that the key to winning a war? Because I don’t see us doing that until we understand our enemies a little bit more.

November 11, 2009 at 5:06 PM #480874ArrayaParticipantYeah and we should understand ourselves a little better. Which we go through painstaking steps to avoid and hide our own shortcomings.
I’m a firm believer in cleaning up your own back yard before you start complaining about the neighbors.
Call me a blame america first kind of guy. Because I do.
I have met the enemy and he is us

I like America, what can I say. Even her faults. Most of my reading of history is that America tries to do the right thing, even when it doesn’t want to. Does it fail sometimes? Sure. Is it a perfect country. Not even close. But it is the best country we have and I remember that every single day, especially today.
Happy Veterans Day!
