What about this guy…

WICHITA, Kansas – Dr. George Tiller, who remained one of the nation’s few providers of late-term abortions through decades of protests and attacks, was shot and killed Sunday in a church where he was serving as an usher and his wife was in the choir.
Huh. I must have missed the part where the killer quoted religious scripture as his justification. And that he was backed up by a few hundred years of religious rulings by the relevant religious scholars.
Nice try though. One guy killed for somewhat questionable religious motives vs. more than 10,000 since 9/11.
Ok, Einstein what do you think his justification was?
10,000 huh? How many Iraqis have died from Gulf War 1&2 plus clinton sanctions. Think that might piss some people off to the point of using scripture to justify killing. Hmmm?
You ever watch your son get blown to bits and be told it’s for your “freedom”

November 11, 2009 at 3:59 PM #480780Allan from FallbrookParticipantArraya: While there is a fundamentalist/Orthodox faction operating in Israel’s IDF and Knesset (and is especially strong in the occupied territories and settlements), you should be careful about labeling all Israelis or IDF or Mossad as extremist.
I’ve done projects with and for Israel’s Home Front Command (their version of Dept. of Homeland Security) and these folks are as professional as it gets. You don’t find ideological or religious extremists, what you find are intelligence and military professionals trying to protect Israel from Hamas, Hezbollah, the Syrians and Iranians. The threats are very real and coming from, as you call them, “scary” people.
As I penned above, this is a complex situation, with nutbags on all sides, including ours. However, to say that the entire State of Israel is given over to ethnic cleansing isn’t true and the average Israeli is as concerned about Netanyahu as you are.
The PLO Charter clearly states that the destruction of the State of Israel is one of its prime mandates. Iran feels the same way, as do senior members in the governments of Saudi, Kuwait, Syria, Jordan, etc, etc, etc.
Which is to merely repeat that fundamentalist anything is dangerous.
