ParticipantI have never been convinced that Morgan Hill is really a better area – I think that was mostly marketing but there are some nice views.
A tip for buying in Temecula IMO: I don’t look in any areas that has a PTR ratio that approaches 1. PTR = Pickup Truck Ratio. 1 pickup (in driveway or in front) per house on a given street would be a ratio of 1.
I assign (2) points for any lifted trucks/SUV’s or visible signs of ATV’s and/or toy haulers.
I keep an eye on Wolf Creek – they still seem to be selling on that side of the hill. Who’s buying? Beats me….

ParticipantIts going much lower. Morgan Hill isn’t the nicest area in Temecula and is still way over priced and over rated. If you want to live in a yuppie/trendy high tax area, you should look at Harveston. Harveston’s location is 200% better than Morgan Hill and you get more amenities and a decent lake with paths, parks, and what not. Homes have been priced better in Harveston too.
Disclaimer: No, I’m not crazy about Harveston but I will call it as it is.March 4, 2008 at 7:09 PM #164448hipmatt
