ParticipantI would talk to your CPA but I agree with the above statements. Binding contract on or before 4/30/10 and close of escrow 6/30/10. You may have a shot at the state money.

I also in a middle of a short sale, were almost closing, but the final counter-offer from the sellers bank came 1 week ago. However, the initil offer was done April 20th, and Escrow was opened by April 28th. My earnest deposit money was deposited by the 28th as well.
Will i still qualify? I am hoping yes since i was in escrow before April 30, but i dont know if the date of the counter offer will screw me up.
