I have put in an offer for a house ( MLS # 090018884)
and suspect a scam
facts

1. initially listed @ 489-515K
listing agent told my agent that offer is in the approval stage with a buyer, so only backups accepted.
2. later listing agent says short sale not approved by bank, property no longer active for showing also
3. PRoperty comes back on the mkt @ 520-535K, and listing agent says existing buyer now willing to match the current listing price.
4. I put in a good offer (mid way into the range ( 520-535K)
5. The agent now says waiting for more offers…..
The property is overpriced in my opinion. The comparables are @ ~ 300 sq/ft and this one @ 527 comes up to 350 sq/ft..
