    Thought this would interest the housing market forum:

    (Speaker & Boss check – this is a video report!)

    Robert Schiller, or one half of the Case/Schiller Home Price Index, stated today there is still “substantial downside risk in the housing market”.

    As I understood it, unemployment and a shadow inventory of un-foreclosed or bank owned homes are still looming negatives for the RE market.

    I don’t know why everyone thinks these guy’s know what is going to happen more than any pigg does.

    But yea if the economy double dips (which seems very likely to me right now) then I can see a lot of downside to just about everything, maybe I will finally get that 5-7K USD new GM truck I thought I would be able to when they were going BK.

    But yea if the economy double dips (which seems very likely to me right now) then I can see a lot of downside to just about everything, maybe I will finally get that 5-7K USD new GM truck I thought I would be able to when they were going BK.

    They have access to data that we don’t have.

    These guys, however, must moderate what they say lest they cause panic. Psychology is a very important part of the markets.
