You mean kind of like welfare fraud.
..Where taxpayers spend an enormous amount of money on welfare. But a lot of people with only a greencard with no verifiable income in the US, but filthy rich overseas in because they are retired doctors or lawyers either money tucked away in foreign accounts where there is no collaboration with the US government can continue to get medcaid, low income housing, and SNAP benefits while people who lived here all their life in the US, paid taxes until bad luck hit them, can’t even qualify for federal housing assistance or have to wait years for it? Of better yet.. all the small box retailers that shut off their cash registers half day and give you a huge discount if you pay cash….Please…. You guys need to get off the internet and get a life.
and this is a theoretical conjecture in which could change for various reasons…simply as if the stock market tanks… after all, if the market tanks. it makes no sense to do this since you can’t write off your losses..
Plus 529k plans are extremely stringent…you are restricted pretty much to long term index funds. None of this will work for the majority of you doomsayers posting here still hoping for that one big crash and/or that are shorting the markets thinking the end of the world is coming…. for how many years now? I mean the concept of drip index fund investing escapes you types anyway.
plus no one takes what people say on the interest seriously. people can changr their mind all the time ..There I just did…. I decided not to do it and not to expect gift because I don’t trust my in laws because they are far left socialist progressives who can’t manage their money. Then again I changed my mind again.. I can’t identify my beneficiary because everyone is now gender fluid while as the beneficiary clearly asks for male or female..Oh I changed my mind again…maybe…oh wait no….damn progressives… can’t even fill out a damn beneficiary form where a question like “sex” or “gender” is now 20+ choices…
Oh wait, holy shit… I am acting like Donald trump….I shouldn’t because not like he does anything questionable with his taxes… oh wait….lol…
Besides none of this matter if this adminstration lowers capital gains taxes.
“Trump considers bypassing Congress to cut capital gains tax on wealthy, report says”
June 30, 2019 at 11:24 AM #812890spdrunParticipantHere’s the interesting thing about Medicaid — this doesn’t just apply to rich foreigners. I read about an American family who was asset-rich but had nearly zero income for a given year (the father was starting another company). They applied for insurance on the ACA/Obamacare site and were REQUIRED to take Medicaid as their only option because qualification is strictly income-based, not asset-based at this point.
As far as the small-box retailers, I honestly don’t care, not while Amazon, Apple, and the like pay zero corporate tax. I’m just stating that what you claim to be doing probably won’t pass a smell test during an audit.

… so what you are saying is .. people need to be a sneaky bastard and not discuss what they are doing within the confines of existing tax codes and instead do something under the table like the majority of people who illegally dodge some of their taxes, BrianSD included, especially the ones that derive 90%+ of their annual income from non W-2 sourced income streams, unlike people who still derive a majority of their income from a W-2, where it’s pretty cut and dry with no questionable variables….
Gotcha.
June 30, 2019 at 11:32 AM #812892spdrunParticipantI’m saying, I’m not sure how the government would treat a gift that’s not given out of the goodness of one’s heart, but in exchange for a service. My feeling would be not as a gift, but as taxable income. So make sure that you can afford to have the deduction disallowed in the future, with interest.

well like i said. I changed my mind……and it’s not like I can read people’s mind as to why they would gift me or anyone else something….
I can’t help it if I get a cash gift…
I can’t help it if relative sets up a 529k plan and changes the beneficiary later to me or anyone related to me. ..even if it happens years later…
Gee there are so many different possibilities I can’t possibly predict what could happen…..there are so many what ifs that could happen I clearly wouldn’t know how they could possible be related to any of my own independent actions if I decide to change my mind again …or again or again…
June 30, 2019 at 11:55 AM #812894FlyerInHiGuestFlu, you keep on ranting. Focus on your strategy. Íf you don’t get kickback for the tuition then the strategy doesn’t work.
It’s like making charitable contributions and getting kickbacks in cash.
June 30, 2019 at 12:06 PM #812895CoronitaParticipantpaid your overdue sales taxes yet BrianSD?
Ranting…lol… Hardly. I am just trying to make a mockery of all your posts like I normally do….Haven’t you figured it out by now yet?I am waiting for that high horse progressive elitist response any moment now…..call it the weekend giggles…
June 30, 2019 at 12:10 PM #812896FlyerInHiGuestHow is someone else amazon purchase relevent to the investment strategy you put forth?
You’re just attacking someone else rather than defend your investment strategy. How does it work without the kickbacks?
June 30, 2019 at 12:12 PM #812897CoronitaParticipantpaid your overdue sales taxes yet briansd? you know the one that you tax dodged …..
June 30, 2019 at 12:13 PM #812898FlyerInHiGuestMore attacks but mum on the nifty strategy.
June 30, 2019 at 12:14 PM #812899CoronitaParticipanthere you go Brian.
June 30, 2019 at 12:17 PM #812900CoronitaParticipantOh Brian.. face it … you are a racist. you hate Asians and Asian mentality … just admit it…See… I am learning from progressives.
June 30, 2019 at 12:18 PM #812901FlyerInHiGuestSo you lay out your strategy and people find faults with it so all you do is pivot to attacks and perceived grievances, a whole list of them.
June 30, 2019 at 12:19 PM #812902FlyerInHiGuestHow can you tell?
