There will always be the ongoing debate of the impact of casinos in neighborhoods. Forget for a minute any potential long term aspects of the argument, and let’s just look at the random risk aspect. Regardless of one’s position, and regardless of how many incidents happen outside a casino, why risk it?

The incident will happen. Someone with a disease loses it all, needs a quick fix, crime happens. The drunk driver kills the innocent, etc. So why risk it and be that close?

Sure, the random act can happen anywhere to anyone. But why increase that risk by being closer to somewhere that could be a catalyst to such an event?

At least in Redhawk, you are that much further away.

In the short 2-3 years that I had homes in the Redhawk/Morgan area, driving up Wolf Creek into Redhawk, I have driven by at least six drug busts at the divide between Redhawk and Wolf Creek. Major props to Temecula’s finest for keeping them out of my area. For anyone in the area regularly, they know that Temecula’s finest are frequently right there where Wolf Creek ends at Redhawk. Probably has to do something with the fact that quite a few of them live in Redhawk.

I always have a great time at Pechanga, it is a well run organization with a great security force. Does that mean drug deals, crimes, and prostitution do not exist there? It’s there baby.

And to live in Wolf Creek, do you really want to have to go home via Margarita/Redhawk/Wolf Creek instead of just using Pechanga Parkway on any weekend evening to avoid the traffic jam getting to the casino and not to mention the occasional sobriety checkpoint?

Wolf Creek still asks big dough, and they sold well before as there are all kinds of homes there owned by speculators who found the area on their frequent gambling trips. They still find the occasional casino sucker who wants a house to stay at near Pechanga on their gambling runs. This way, one can bring the whole family and not force them to stay in a hotel room while playing Texas Hold’em all day and night.

It may look like a family community now, and that’s all part of the facade. Wolf Creek in five years will be overrun with vacant/abandoned homes, and rentals.

And with the ensuing school budget cuts, that elementary school will not open. Probably become home to the high school continuation center or something wonderful like that.

And now for a free business tip to an aspiring entrepreneur…for sure success, at the empty corner of Wolf Creek at Pechanga, across from the casino, make that your corner. Build a strip mall and open a pawn shop, a liquor store, and rent the rest . Use your immediate profits to start buying up homes in Wolf Creek under $200k, and rent those out to the growing work force at Pechanga.

Ok, guys. What about french valley? What do you think about that area? There is a new community by Lennar homes called Spencer’s crossing. There are going to be other guest builders in there as well and there is supposed to be a total of 1700 or so houses built. They are asking too much right now, (there is always some dumb a$$ willing to pay top dollar for homes which delays the crash). Anyway, in a year’s time, it may be reasonable for me to think about buying.

So, nice area? I’m kind of stuck on new houses, but I may have to rethink that. I wouldn’t mind living in Harveston. I want to live in a nice community. Thus insight on french valley please.
