Hi neighbors!!
We moved into Stoney Creek in August and we love it. It is a nice neighborhood and it has taken time getting use to the small lot as we came from a very large lot that was costing a lot to maintain and water!
if you are looking for blinds.. stay away from Lowe’s. We got our blinds there and the blinds are nice but their service leaves a lot to be desired.
We live on Leavesly Trail.. and it is really nice to see how everything is coming together in the whole community.
I travel downtown every day and I usually take Mast to 52 and the traffic is no where near as congested as Mira Mesa…
good luck with everyone getting the home they want.. we paid extra for ours because it was the one we wanted and there was not a whole lot of negotiating really.. I guess it all is what are you willing to pay for what you want.. no regrets at all.

April 17, 2009 at 11:13 AM #383024AnonymousGuestMy wife and I will be doing our second walk through this afternoon. The only thing we are waiting for is the VA appraiser’s report. Once the bank receives the report, we will then sign the final papers, get them recorded and then move in. It looks as if this will all finalize the end of next week. I was really hoping to be moving right now, but the VA appraiser held things up.
Back on topic, I just finished with some simple queries from Zillow and Windermere, looking at the Santee area with homes $400k or less with at least 1900 sqft. To be honest, it looks as if our purchase was a deal. But who knows, maybe the market still has not hit bottom. My gut says we have seen the worst to come, or maybe my gut is saying I am hungry.
