Yes, it is scary, flyer. People will have to go back to multi generational households.
The elderly will go broke if Medicare and Medicaid are cut or voucherized.
Lennar has the home within a home design to accommodate the trend.

Dow down 200pts+
October 19, 2012 at 11:19 AM #752858Diego MamaniParticipantWow! The sheeple are selling. It might be a good day to scoop up a few deals. E.g., CEL is 6% down… It’ll most likely fully recover in less than a week π

Also the slow down in china, being in china was weird, there is a cr#p load of stimulus (I think to a large part to smooth the new Gov being installed there),They are really really counting on us to pick up the slack and buy a bunch of stuff SOON!!!
October 19, 2012 at 11:43 AM #752834CoronitaParticipantI am agreeing with squat on calling this near top…
I’m out…(at least I’m leaving 50% in cash now)….
I am surprised the markets did not do so bad this year….It exceeded my expectations. We’ll see what happens next year.

Ride ’em down! Hope this trend continues – DOW 11.5k before a recovery to 13.5k would be niiiice to see.

good luck with that one…. If that happens, good luck staying employed, Mr. Contract Tech Worker.

Dow was at 10.4k last October. Funny, I still had clients. If anything, that which can’t be done in-house still has to be done by someone. A bad economy just means that in-house staff are let go, and contractors pick up the slack.
I’m not a “contract worker” in the sense of working for a middleman, BTW. I’m both the middleman and the worker π
October 19, 2012 at 6:23 PM #752883scaredyclassicParticipanti should note that i am particularly inept at calling anything.

that’s it, im calling a top….[/quote]Fair enough. You don’t strike me as a bottom.
October 23, 2012 at 7:33 AM #753051CoronitaParticipantDear President Obama,
You retail investors called….They want to know what you’re gonna do to prop up the stock market now that you painted such a rosy job report last month that suckered many retail investor to re-enter the stock market at a mini-high….
-400 points later, just about every corporate entity is coming in with *light* earnings numbers, and to compensate, companies are announcing fresh new rounds of layoffs…right before elections….What says you????
October 23, 2012 at 7:42 AM #753052CoronitaParticipant…and now your going to starting seeing, Panic, Act 2…
Suddenly, people are going to start worrying about europe (again). First it will be Spain, and then Greece again. You’ll have a bunch of governments clamouring for austerity again…You’ll have a bunch of socialites clamour for entitement benefits and strikes. Asian will react. China will report slowed growth. Not that it will be that bad. Except people will freak out…. It will spill over into the United States. Earnings will come in light…Expectations will be reset…. And pretty soon, well see below 13,000 dow again, probably to around 12,800, before helicopter Ben speaks and offers the next hat trick.
Too bad this shit didn’t happen last week…Would have made for an interesting debate…
So glad I’m out last week. Thank you scardey for reminding me when I saw your post…

President Vermin Supreme.
weird. when the president talks about gov involvement in business, the publicans talk about hwo govt doesn’t creat jobs. then they flip the reverse-o on him and say wtf why haven’t you created jobs?
crazy, man!
vermin supreme would get around this crazy-making by ensuring that federal law provides you can have your hostess dessert products and eat them too.
vote for vermin supreme! even though i didn’t.
gary johnson irritates me too but at least he’s not part of the nromal debate which makes my head hurt.
i wish i’d voted for vermin. then i could wear the shirt with pride
