Sort of new to the site. I couldn’t pass up bagging on Norv. AJ is to blame for hiring Norv and now we all have to live with him. I have been telling anybody who would listen that Norv is not a good coach. Well our team goes and gets into the play-offs two years in a row (barely last year) and no one wold listen. After yesterday everyone is listening. It showed his gutless play calling. He doesn’t know how to handle the clock, he is a horrible coach. None of the teams he has coached are ready at the begining of the season. Now AJ has only kept 7 o-linemen and wow, injuries have hurt a couple and we can’t run. I say fire AJ and have him take his cronie Norv with him.

September 21, 2009 at 8:34 PM #459922SD RealtorParticipantAllan lets make no mistake, the raiders have a much stronger line on both sides of the ball. Over the past few years we have watched the decline of the running game with the chargers not because of LTs health but more because of a line that is not built for run blocking. It is what it is. The team has definitely taken on the attitude of the coach whether we like it or not.
If your sons qb would have been at the helm last monday nite your raiders are sitting at 2-0. Never have I seen a more inaccurate qb the jamarcus.
Going back to the bolts yes it was slopping tackling but the bottom line is that there is no personnel along either line for the bolts. Yes we have great skill positions but the raiders showed they can be shut down. I do hafta admit rivers has shown heart and a nice arm and some of those long balls yesterday were right on target. But then he brain cramps and throws a DUMBASS INT when he could have taken a sack or thrown it out of bounds. The late INT sucked because it was interference but rivers should never have thrown it cuz that db was sitting and waiting for it.
I don’t see the bolts making the playoffs because you need good lines to be a playoff team and we dont have a good line on either side of the ball. So far two games and the other lines are usually on our side of the line of scrimmage no matter who has the ball. It is really hard to watch them play especially when they are on defense. Watching cooper jump gaps and run himself out of plays, watching arm tackling, watching hart who definitely would not be a starting on most any nfl team, watching them get pushed back 3 yards off the line… it is really tough.
The final stall on 3rd and 4th and 2 was predictable. Lets not forget Nanee could have had the first down if he didn’t jerk around on his run after the catch on the 2nd down play. So why on 3rd and 2 do you bunch the line and try some finesse bullshit pass. How predictable was that? Then on 4th down you KNOW, you KNOW Ray Lewis is gonna jump the gap and blitz… I am sitting there yelling before the play, DONT RUN, CALL TO CALL TO. You have been dominating the corners all day and you cant convert 2 yards in 2 plays.
No you don’t deserve to win, you don’t deserve to make the playoffs, and you are a soft team that is not well coached. How many stupid penalties did they have?
Finally AJ is nowhere to be found. His love affair with linebackers has left the O and D lines in a shambles. You have Jamal Williams who has more knee operations then months in a year and you never in 6 years can draft or trade for another tackle? Cesare and Castillo are just guys. Look at Ngata for the Ravens and DAMN the raiders did great in the seymour trade. That dude is a STUD.
Football games are won in the trenches. Plain and simple.
Mans game.
