Funny how PL wasnt a beach community but suddenly it morphed into PL/OB to satisfy your warped views…
The reason this discussion “morphed” into 92107 is because the OP specifically desired information about Sunset Cliffs (92107)…
We are also thinking about Point Loma-Sunset Cliffs to be specific-have you thought about or looked there? . . .
…and very much liked an (expensive) circa 1927 remodel in 92107 provided in the OP’s recent Pt Loma thread by another Pigg:

…I consider it one of the finest homes in SC, and if still looking in the area, would not hesitate to put feelers out to the owners. FANTASTIC!!!
…I want this one! How is the neighborhood?????
heheheheh… I want that one as well. Nice place for sure…
Of course, being from NCC and “out-of-area,” perhaps you didn’t understand that Sunset Cliffs shares the same zip code as OB.
…If the OP is going to work in Sorrento Valley the drive to work in Morning rush hour traffic…
You’re still guessing here and assuming which location would be the the most convenient for this OP to live in. They have already stated that they viewed properties in SB last time they were here and were not impressed with what they could purchase in their price range.
I have seen a few in SB online and visited a couple last year in the Santa(s) neighborhood… lots of Freeway noise and very dated interiors.
Why don’t people out there seem to update interiors? Is it just the price range I am looking in (750-850) are there HOA restrictions…???
You then proceeded to redirect the OP back to SB both west and EAST of I-5.
…In that price range there are homes on the hill with great views in SB. They dont require adding a second story and they arent major fixers. You can find a 4 or 5 BR home over 2500 sq ft in SB that just needs updating but not major construction…
…The portion of SB west of the 5 is very narrow so even on the east side you can ride a bike to the beach if you wanted. It cant be much more than 1 mile as the crow flies…
…Not only does SB have ocean and lagoon views but it has amazing back country views and golf course views. Quite honestly I dont think there is any type of view you couldnt find in SB…
…Parts of SB are by the beach and others are actually ranch properties with acreage. It is adjacent to Rancho Santa Fe which last time I checked was among the top 3 most affluent communites in America…
The reason my posts written in plain English are “painful” for you to read is because it is apparent to all here that you neither read nor write very well, at least not on this blog.

March 3, 2011 at 3:44 PM #672906sdrealtorParticipantIts laughable to be speaking with some one so out of touch with reality. The difference between us is I have experience and you speak from an arm chair.
Ok so let us know the last real estate transaction you were part of. Mine was yesterday. A buyer of mine closed on a condo in PQ and while we were in escrow 4 others closed all between 10 and 16% higher. Last week I closed a townhouse in your hood (Chula Vista) as the listing agent. I also closed an SFR in Temecula last week. I put another in Mira Mesa into escrow this week and am about to put one in escrow in RB. I also closed an SFR in Normal Heights in february. In January it was a townhouse in Mssion Valley, an SFR in Oceanside, an SFR in Carlsbad, an SFR in Encinitas, an SFR in Rancho Santa Magerita, and a townhouse in Laguna Niguel.
I have worked with dozens of people from back east and lived there for 30 days. I understand them and you do not. You dont even seem to understand people from around here. You have ZERO experience and speak as though you have tons.
BTW, I didnt redirect the OP back to SB both west and EAST of I-5. I addressed the exact area the OP asked about (the santa’s) which you dont understand because you never venture north of the 8. You were talking MR and HOA’s in SB when there are virtually none. You waste people’s time here. Good luck you will need it.
