It would depend largely on what the compaction issue is/was.
We had to have a compacted building pad for our companion unit, since it was on a hillside.
We had to get our contractor out to recompact when they trenched for drainage pipes and didn’t properly recompact afterwards.
You need to get more info to find out what the issues are.

March 12, 2009 at 11:26 AM #364996AnonymousGuestAbout a month back, we were looking at this house. We noticed moving trucks in front of some of the homes next to the subject property. One of the homeowners who was moving confirmed that because the hill that the homes were built on was not stable, the builder agreed to buy back only the three or four homes at the end of the cul-de-sac. The builder was planning on fixing the soil compaction issue, rebuild those homes and rent them out.
She also said that the people who lived in the house that is for sale walked out because the builder would not allow them to be part of the settlement. That is all the info that I was able to get. I hope that helps. Good luck!March 12, 2009 at 11:26 AM #365302AnonymousGuestAbout a month back, we were looking at this house.
