Skyranch in Santee

How is the housing market in Santee now? Looks like “Skyranch” has been fully developed and prices have recovered over the last 5 years…

I’ve seen this thread for a couple of years, but for the first time I actually looked on a map to see where these were. I am very surprised to learn that they are EAST of 67. My friend grew up just a few blocks away and that area is considered Lakeside.

It looks like Skyranch has been fully developed and prices have been climbing steadily. The owners must be quite happy!

Yeah yeah I admit. I was wrong about Santee. It’s actually pretty nice up on the hills. I got a friend that has a ridiculous gated private house sitting on an acre with an awesome view. Plus only 15 minutes to La Jolla, lol.

I just can’t pull the trigger because I just can’t deal w/ the commute.

No need to worry about commute when folks are working from home.

It really is 15 minutes to La Jolla at over 85 mph zooming down the 52.

Skyranch was definitely a hidden gem back in 2009. Not many people were willing to spend the kind of money then because of the stigma living in Santee (“Clantee”).
Someboy was even complaining about going downhill and wearing out his breaks…
Now Santee has become a very nice suburban city with many newer stores and the prices have gone up nicely!

Yeah, I have to admit, skyranch is pretty nice.

I have a cop friend that lives there’s and the few times we get together, it’s a nice fun drive there from where I live.

The view from up there is worth a lot and Santee has become a nice town with newer malls.

Last time I visited Skyranch a few months ago it looked like a high end neighborhood. Some of the yards looked amazing and pride of ownership was evident.
