I didn’t read the “bamboo” part. But my jab at you was you already picked a dark/cherry flooring. The cherry color is very common among folks I know on furniture and flooring, often matched together too. (Older generation typically pick the brighter glossy cherry wood, where some of us younger generation pick the darker brownish red wood).

Ah, ok, now that make sense and I know exactly what you’re talking about. The bamboo I got is brownish w/ a hint of red, not red with a hint of brown. Linky to pix. My couch is micro-fiber tan w/ brown pillow. So no stereotypical cherry & leather couch here :-).ocrenter, I’m not Chinese. But this guy’s price is very very reasonable. I just got him to do the demo for me and I was impressed and got him to do the other job too. Oh gosh, the plastic shrink wrap remote. That annoys me to no end.

Microfiber…heh….oh boy…You’re going to be in my boat a few months ago. My kid took a ballpoint pen i wasn’t looking and my nanny was suppose to be watching her. She decided to doodle on my beige microfiber couch with a ballpoint pen. I’m not talking about just 1 or two line marks. The couch looked like it was zebra after she was done.
Fortunately, my mom found this thing Carbona #3 at Vons…

Works like a champ on ballpoint.
You will see what I’m talking about. And considering you have a boy, you’ll probably see much more destruction. Enjoy 🙂
