SiCKO of Religion and Politics on Piggington

I’m SiCKO of Michael Moore and would like to see his name disappear from the active forum topic list. Once again we have too many forum topics on religion and politics, which seems to chase away posting on real estate. These sorts of forum topics and comments are not good for Piggington, IMO.

I realize that many of these topics are correctly posted on the off topic forum, but hasn’t anyone else noticed that when these things proliferate (or when threads are high-jacked with religious and political commentary) that Piggington goes through a dry spell? I have begun avoiding topics on these subjects so don’t just tell me (or others) to avoid them. What bothers me is the negative impact on my favorite site.

I respectfully ask, can we leave it at the door, people?

I wouldn’t be surprised to see a documentary from Moore or someone else soon about the real estate bust and all the fradulent activities leading up to it. Really this would be a perfect topic.

PD, I agree with your post. I wonder if there is some way the off topic forum threads could be listed somewhere other than under the “Active Forum Topics”.

I really enjoy reading what Piggington people have to say about politics, etc. but I do agree that it does take away from the purpose of this blog.

PS – In the meantime, I promise not to start or contribute to anymore OT threads.

Good point. There is no reason for these postings anymore; I have been following them and I’ve distilled them all down to the following information:

* Al Gore is a poo-poo head smarty-pants. He is also fat. And a liar.

* Michael Moore is also a fat poo-poo head.

* Get your hands off of my money!

I think the root of this problem is that the RE downturn is playing out slowly and methodically and is getting boring. The Mainstream media is all over the story and there is little intrigue as to when San Diego Real estate will head downward (since it has been happening for 20 months already).
Nobody wants to argue (I mean, have active discourse) anymore over what has become obvious, so we find other things to discuss.

I agree with Dr. MM/FSD. The stock market is taking its time before its crash. The economy is taking its time before its depression. The housing market is taking its time before its crater.

What, you want us to talk baseball, instead? Booooring.

Trust me, if you want to strictly limit topics to San Diego real estate, this place will quickly become as desolate as PS’ site. Why? ‘Cause nothing much is happening in San Diego real estate.

It is going to be a long, boring downturn. The real excitement will be elsewhere, in the stock market crash, the upcoming terrorist attacks here in the U.S., the social upheaval, etc.
