[quote=mydogsarelazy]We live in Murrieta — we moved here from Temecula in 2004 — and you certainly can get some deals now. How about Harveston?
If you move here, just don’t say things like “We are very excited by the Obama Presidency” and you may make a few friends.
Another comment not to make “Isn’t it great that there is a bigger mosque being planned?”
Or how about “That Glenn Beck, is he insane?”
Or you could try “My partner and I are thinking of adopting another baby from Haiti.”
On the subtle side “Chelsea Clinton looked so happy in the wedding photos.”
On a serious note, I have a daughter who cannot play with one of her best friends anymore because his parents decided that we are “too liberal.” Sad.

Personally – and flame away I don’t care – I find Temecula full of right wing religous nut jobs who are closed minded and ignorant.
Lots of rednecks in and around Temecula, but that alone wouldn’t stop me from moving to Temecula.

August 2, 2010 at 4:59 PM #585502paramountParticipantI moved to Temecula almost a decade ago, and it was the biggest financial mistake I have ever made in my life.
I know for some it’s more than a financial decision, so it’s just one perspective.
I have been destroyed financially (IMO) because I bought a house in Temecula. I don’t know how else to say it…
I don’t believe I will ever fully recover from this mistake that I made.
So I guess my answer would generally (there could be some exceptions) be: NO DO NOT BUY A HOUSE IN TEMECULA.
I can’t wait to move out of Temecula if I ever can.

August 2, 2010 at 5:02 PM #585512scaredyclassicParticipantwell, ok, maybe generally that’s true. but I’m here. So there is at least one super liberal agnostic nut job to lend a tiny amount of balance. Plus I know another one too.
been here a long time and ive also had the experience of some of my kids friends folks thinking, hmm, not sure about these parents or their kids, maybe a little out there. not sure if it’s just fear of the different, political or whatnot, but we’ve been looked at like we might be a bad influence…i wonder if SF liberals don’t like their kids play with the offspring of rightwing nutjobs….
