Just drop it Dave. CA R is right. It WAS insulting and uncalled for and I decided to ignore that. And this was not the first time you did it either. Just because it’s internet it doesn’t mean people don’t have feelings and yes it bothered me greatly that day. Don’t assume because you are an insensitive person others are too. You DON’T KNOW that and you should treat your fellow posters with respect.
“Just drop it”? That’s awfully curt. Now I feel insulted. Kidding, of course.
The only reason a comment from a random internet poster (and, by definition, someone you don’t know personally) would have “bothered you greatly” is if it hit a nerve… and only you know why that’s the case. I could only speculate.
If it’s o.k. with you… I think I’ll wait for Rich to admonish me before altering any purportedly boorish behavior… it being his site and all. But I will duly note that the Posters with Grievances Club has one more member. Welcome!

The majority of people do get emotionally involved in forum debates, to some extent. Just because they don’t know someone or can’t see them doesn’t mean that person’s words can’t have an effect, for good or ill. Most are decent, but plenty of nasty people fall into this category.
There are a few who do not get emotionally involved at all. These are generally only a**holes by accident, because by definition they aren’t evil, only socially inept.
There are more than a few who do get emotionally involved, pretend not to, and enjoy making and watching others squirm. These are the worst, and most deserving of the bad karma they’re racking up. If you believe in that kind of thing.
