ParticipantIts best if you leave lots of used needles around and keep at least a year’s worth of newspapers piled in the living room.
Also, you should mention that yours is a clothing optional household.
And ask if they like to spoon.

ParticipantWomen are cleaner than men, on average, but are more likely to have roommate conflicts and end up moving out, etc.
Men are pigs, but are less likely to have conflicts serious enough to move out.
I had good and bad roommates when I was a student. It’s hard to tell in advance who is going to be a PITA. I suggest staying away from anal-retentive types who take life too seriously. Look for easy-going types who are relaxed and are not afraid to laugh at themselves. They may not be the cleanest people in the world, but I’d take a dirty roommate over a conflictive one!

ParticipantIf it is for money, there are a lot of people who will take a room and bathroom without kitchen or common space priveleges, this is especially easy with a separate entrance for the renter. Maybe give them a small fridge and a microwave if they want it.
