As long as you are happy, not losing sleep, you should be fine thought what you are in a rented house…
I have 2 kids ( 2/6 yrs ) and in a 2 bedroom apartment, I don’t feel space crunch except I miss backyard sometimes…
My wife is stay at home BTW and she is scared to move into a house bcaz of usual maintenance/cleanings as she is all consumed by kids as of now..March 11, 2010 at 10:02 AM #524596fun4vnay2ParticipantAs long as you are happy, not losing sleep, you should be fine thought what you are in a rented house…

Sometimes, having a nice, cozy, affordable rental is the biggest hurdle to buying a house.
It’s very difficult to go from living in a “good enough” rental with affordable payments and lots of cash in the bank…to a “purchased” home where you are responsible for all the maintenance costs and have the same monthly payments (or higher) than your rental, and much less cash in the bank. Not easy to do at all.
…not to mention the freedom to move if things get bad.
Enjoy your rental in the meantime, scaredy. You’ll know when it’s the right house, at the right price, and at the right time. Until then, sleep well. π
