    Does anyone commute from SEH to La Jolla / UTC / Sorrento Valley, and how horrible is it?

    My current lease ends soon, I plan to pick an area and rent a house there for a year before deciding whether to buy. I’m aiming for a new-ish 2500+ sqft detached 4br for 500K. Right now two main contenders are Eastlake and SEH. Eastlake is nice but I’m still not over 60% hispanic kids in elementary schools. SEH is better in that aspect but commute worries me.

    Went there today, took me ~28 min to get from SEH town center to my office. But that was in the afternoon…

    My husband makes this commute everyday. 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic.
