ParticipantI think when and if gas prices go that high, the U.S. will get back in the game and drill more, build more refineries and there might even be more talk of building nuclear reactors. Even the most liberal politician will cave when he/ she is bombarded with mail from constituents. This is just a future looking forecast.
I also agree with Flu. $10. gas will drive up everything else that has to be delivered and would definitely negatively affect most other businesses. I use the carpool lane when I take my son to school, but it is rare to have anyone else in it with me while we wait at the meter. I am surprised more people do not try to car pool rather than use public transportation.
