Looking at my IRA, I forgot that about two years ago I bought a few number of shares (300) of ERUS ETF when the Ruble cratered with all the sanctions that were passed.
I just noticed that after November, most of the Russia ETFs have been going gangbuster….
So, do you folks think it’s too late to add more, or you think we’re going higher?
Seems to me, Trump is bent on getting more buddy buddy with Russia, I’m just wondering what the implications are for this…..
Flu I have done the same thing, buying country ETFs and CEFs during “crisis” that seems overblown.
I have done OK with Thailand and Italy and a couple days ago bought a Turkish one, TKF. If you look at the chart since inception, there are some really gigantic spikes when Turkey goes from OMG Coup! mode back to normal. Between 03 and 05 it went from 4 to 25, and from 09 to 10 it went from 5 to 18.
Now it is at 6.5, and putting a little cash in now seems like a decent bet to me.
