Ralph Peters explains, more in-depth, why he left fox propaganda:
…as word spread that I would not unswervingly support President Trump and, worse, that I believed an investigation into Russian interference was essential to our national security, I was excluded from segments that touched on Vladimir Putin’s possible influence on an American president, his campaign or his administration.
Absolutely disgusting. And the brainwashed fools still don’t understand.

April 19, 2018 at 4:41 PM #809929FlyerInHiGuestSo 96% of the Inquirer’s readership supports Trump.
That just confirms what we always knew about Trumpistas.
It’s no wonder they support 20th century steel and coal. I don’t see them having enough intelligence to work 21st century jobs.Don’t blame the press for making money. Blame the people who don’t have critical thinking. Let’s not enable those people and absolve them of responsibility.

If gas prices spike due to unrest in the Middle East, right-wing media will somehow conclude that it’s liberals’ fault, and the brainwashed rabble that partake of right-wing media will fall for every word of it.
It makes me wonder how obvious their lying has to be before these idiots figure it out.
May 10, 2018 at 5:12 PM #810040zkParticipantThese idiots are convinced that Mueller’s investigation is unfair.
This country is losing its respect for the rule of law, and we have right-wing media to thank for that.
May 10, 2018 at 11:27 PM #810042FlyerInHiGuestZk, I’m glad you them idiot because that’s what they are.
I watch Fox sometimes just do fun. Yesterday, I watched Laura Ingraham. She was trying to exonerate Michael Cohen for taking all the Russian money. Pretty hilarious.

I think the roseanne situation illustrates just how ensconced in their alternate reality these propaganda-brainwashed nutjobs are. They really think that it’s reality, and they don’t understand that people in real reality see them as profoundly ignorant. I mean, if their “reality” was real, why would anybody be upset when they tweeted about what, in their world, is true?
In their “reality,” comparing black people to apes is de rigueur. Believing in wacky conspiracy theories is normal. These things aren’t questioned in their “reality,” they’re applauded. How many times do you think roseanne has seen a tweet or an article in the right-wing nut-o-sphere that was vile and racist and yet was ignored by the mainstream (because it was from some nobody) and was met with nothing but support from similar-minded people? She probably thought, “yeah, this will get some LOLs and some retweets, just like I always see these things get.” Not understanding that there is a real world out there that she is a part of and where these things don’t fly.
When roseanne’s character on the show was a trump supporter, that caused a lot of conversation and an increase in viewership. But it didn’t really come with any condemnation. And why would it? You can vote for whoever you want. But I think she misunderstood this lack of condemnation for her being a trump supporter for a lack of condemnation for being the other things that frequently come with being a trump supporter. Like being ignorant and a racist and a conspiracy theorist and being ensconced in an alternate reality.
These people don’t just think they’re normal, they think they’re righteous and strong. And the reason that they think they’re righteous and strong is that, in their alternate reality, they are. And the reason that, in their alternate reality, they’re righteous and strong is brainwashing by right-wing media.
And that’s part of the reason why right-wing propaganda has such a strong hold on them and why they’re so reluctant to let go of their support for trump. For them to let go of their alternate reality, they have to go from being righteous and strong to admitting that they have no strength and are of low virtue and that they’ve been ignorant all this time. That’s quite a fall to take. Right-wing propagandists have them right where they want them, and they’re not letting go without a fight.

Great post
May 30, 2018 at 10:01 AM #810159NeetaTParticipantMy TV stays on FOX News. I tried watching MSNBC, but I could not take it. I guess I am a “right wing” advocate with maybe a few liberal views that I am wiling to give up for lower taxes, a genocide campaign against MS-13, pushing car-jackers into oncoming traffic, and getting rid of economy killing regulations.

Well, there’s certainly nothing wrong with having conservative views. Of course, genocide is horrific. But that’s another debate.
The problem is that Fox “news” isn’t giving you an accurate picture of what’s happening in the world. Are you ok with that? If so, why?

There are other options.
I can’t watch MSNBC either. I can’t really watch any television news. They spend so much time and energy throwing emotion at you. I just want to say, “Jesus, calm down. Just the facts, please.”
Try reading the New York Times and the Washington Post.

And some foreign news outlets.
I’m a liberal but I actually like to read economic columns by Robert Samuelson.
If you are a real conservative and want to understand markets, you have to read economists. They deal in therory a lot, and are ivory tower, so conservatives don’t like them nowadays. But they are scientists and study the markets.I think the USA is prosperous because our politicians once listened to economists (Obama did). China is now run by economists and PhD engineers who advise the leadership. Their system is generating a lot of wealth because they got rid of the revolution peasants and elevated educated people. In the USA, we are enabling the pitchfork peasants.
