Now she wants to take a train trip to Grand Canyon. Seems a bit expensive, but I haven’t taken the kids over there just yet. Seems like driving, and getting my own hotel would be cheaper.
Drive to Williams which is the last town before you get to the Grand Canyon. There is a scenic train ride between Williams and the Canyon. AAA offers good deals on it and I’ve been dying to do it will my son.
Without question, the Grand Canyon is a must see. I’ve hiked to the bottom a coupel times. Hint: don’t try to do it in the heat of Summer.
The train ride between Williams and South Rim is a lot of fun. I highly recommend it. The only thing to be aware of is that they stage a train robbery and it might be a bit scary for little ones. My son was 8 at the time and he thought it was cool.
