Trading down is an interesting concept .
Surely there are at least a few more people who will see that they can lock up some equity, instead of watching it vanish, by trading down.It might be a pretty sensible thing for many. There may be some late comers to the sell and rent idea. How many I don’t know.January 3, 2008 at 11:10 PM #129102NotCrankyParticipantTrading down is an interesting concept .

BTW as many of you have pointed out, the banks are holding back and do have more inventory.
Not to mention the people out there who owe 600k thanks to the refi’s, had 300k cash, and are now down to 50k cash with their $6k per month payment.
