ParticipantI installed a Bosch tankless in my old house.
I loved it,
If you want to go green, put in a solarbhot water heater and gas fired backup

ParticipantI replaced my water heater myself a few years ago. It’s not that hard – you can do it if you have the tools and know how to solder (not that hard really…).
Takes about 8 hours or so…

ParticipantWe have one in our family’s wisconsin cabin…I hate its space saving guts.
It always turns off unless there is a serious demand…the shower goes from boiling hot to freezing in less than a second. I have to turn on two sinks at full blast to make it stay on. maybe ours is crappy, but I am overall not impressed.
