I may be looking for a two-bedroom rental starting in September, in north county San Diego or in southern Orange County, in a coastal area such as Carlsbad or Costa Mesa. I’d probably prefer a townhouse over a condo or a detached house.
What is the state of the rental market now? Any predictions for late summer? How is the pandemic affecting supply and demand for rentals? Are the trends the same in San Diego and Orange counties?
Any suggestions for particular areas that are especially desirable or good value?
If I have to see places remotely, and I can’t visit in person, what to look for and what questions to ask?
Rental market is fine though inventory seems to be building a little so could be slight downward pressure on rents. Id look around La Costa as its close to everything, there are a ton of townhomes with garages and its easy to get to freeway. I dont really dealw ith rentals but know this area like the back of my hand so happy to give you some tips or answer questions. Just PM if you’d like
