On a side note WOW and I mean WOW I was surprised to see the amount of properties SFR suddenly listed in the Hillcrest 92103-Mission Hills 92103-University Heights 92103-16 areas. i was driving hteses neighborhoods for some multi families i am interested in and it reminded me of the temecula video 85 sign….
A few weeks back I had posted comments regarding our choice of living in Bankers Hill and how we pay very little in rent compared to if we were to purchase a unit in this complex. I mentioned a unit next door isted 780K, dropped to 699K..now another drop to 669K. Nice great view top floor 1681sqft. did I mention in 05 they were valued at 850k..ouch
We have been rapidly moving from a 1 house to 17 interested buyer ratio to a 1 able buyer to 17 house ratio….hold on to you hats ladies/gentleman we are going for a ride.
Another interesting Boom artifact lay in my office …
I was in an airport in June 1995 and picked up an issue of Money Magazine, which had a feature article on San Diego real estate, titled “Boom Town USA”. I left the magazine opened to page 78 on my shelf. It is starting to fade a little bit, but it’s one of the great masterpieces ever written (not really).
But for me, when I read this it indicated to me that we were going over the top. I looked back at it today and it’s really kind of funny to read. Almost like watching the Bush-Dukakis debate 4 years later and wondering what happened to all that Cold War rhetoric.
