To clarify, I am looking for metro-wide rates for rental properties as opposed to asking rents for specific properties. Something that has some history bor time series would be helpful.
Would the rent component of the CPI fit the bill?
Come to think of it, that’s only updated every 6 months I think… so maybe not so timely.
I have a good friend who is a multi-family broker for CBRE – he’d definitely have some rental rate information specific to San Diego and possibly LA also. If you’re a potential buyer, I’m sure he’d be willing to provide you the info with hope he can sell you a property down the road.
PM me if you’re interested and I’ll send you his contact info.
