August 11, 2011 at 12:16 AM #717530anParticipant
i meant tom pettyw as on the radio in 1981, on the radio today and …well…i think most people ar elistening to him occasionally, whetehr voluntarily or not. it’s difficult to escape music nowadays. i was 18 30 years ago,a nd not the same person. i was an idiot. 6 years is not 30.
30 is a generation.
30 is a long time.
is suspect my mortgage payment will be very very small in 28 years, if i lvie that long.
i suspect tom petty will still be at it.
Yes, 6 years is not 30, but if 6 years feel like 1 day, 30 years will feel no more than a week. I guess when you’re busy enjoying life everyday and not constantly worry about the future, time does fly.August 11, 2011 at 12:16 AM #717621anParticipant
i meant tom pettyw as on the radio in 1981, on the radio today and …well…i think most people ar elistening to him occasionally, whetehr voluntarily or not. it’s difficult to escape music nowadays. i was 18 30 years ago,a nd not the same person. i was an idiot. 6 years is not 30.

Rate Payment APR Fees
3.750% $2,709 3.906% $10,304
3.875% $2,751 3.948% $4,483
4.000% $2,793 4.029% $622
4.125% $2,835 4.154% $-1,931
4.250% $2,878 4.280% $-2,821
4.375% $2,921 4.406% $-6,225To my inexperienced eye, the 4% or 4.125% refi looks best. Paying points takes 8 years, while the difference between the 4% and 4.125% works out to 5 years. Thoughts?
Also, it seems to me like rates might go up after this week’s chaos stabilizes. Or does the smart money wait to refi?
(I’m tempted to get the 3.25% 15-year option, but higher payment may really suck when we have more kids and my wife wants a couple years off work)
