Looking for some insight on whether it’s generally better to refinance through a direct lender or via a broker?

Or does better basically just mean the cheapest?

Broker is where I put my $. I’m in the refi process now, and can’t confirm the entire experience yet.

I’m being told rates are going down again and home values going up.

It seems like brokers are cheaper, I was just concerned about data protection primarily.
