I can’t give you a recommendation on the flooring company since I have mine installed by an independent contractor. But with regards to high end hard wood flooring, I think $10-$12/sq-ft seems about right for material a lone. Installation runs between $1.50-2.50/sq-ft. High end bamboo from Teragren goes for around $6-8/sq-ft for materials.

July 21, 2011 at 1:44 PM #712832PCinSDGuestJim the Realtor has a list of folks he recommends on his website:
http://www.bubbleinfo.com/real-estate-advice/recommended-repairmen/
The carpet folks on his list do hardwood floors and apparently give a 10% discount if you mention his name. I’ve never used them.

July 21, 2011 at 7:26 PM #712955earlyretirementParticipantThanks guys. Also, thanks to the private PM’s I received of people that personally used companies. I really prefer to take a look at companies that people have actually used rather than realtor referrals. Thanks again.
