ParticipantInteresting article. Has to do with timing of the stock market and a second bottom in 2014. That matches up with my thoughts on a double-recession so I thought I’d post it here.

3. Enough of the hysteria: there will be no depression.
[/quote]Oh great, its a sure thing now.
And according to shadowstats, we’ve been in a recession since December 05.
I have to admit, it sure doesn’t feel like one. Things are slowing down a bit in the city, but businesses still seem pretty busy.
Is the worst yet to come?

ParticipantThe concept of a double recession is in my mind lately, with the stock market bounce, plenty of real estate shoppers, and housing starts up.
Maybe we’ll pull out of this one late 2009, flounder for a bit, then back into the hole a year later.
