Looks like the some of the GOP is backtracking and now saying they are going to back Trump again.
Wow, my head is spinning.
It’s really not that hard to understand. They’re doing exactly what a lot of Americans are doing. Do what they can to save their job. On a KPBS show I was listening to the other day, one of the guest was saying that if they stick with Trump, they’ll lose ~12% of the independent vote but if they abandon Trump, they would lose about 12% from Trump supporter not voting for them. So, they’re stuck between a rock and a hard place. Damn if you do and damn if you don’t. So, they took a calculated risk and stick w/ him.
I’ve seen many jack asses in the private sector who will do whatever it takes to get ahead, so this is no different. IMHO.
Word.

The most important question I have to ask you….What did you vote for Prop 60?
🙂
October 13, 2016 at 1:16 AM #802170FlyerInHiGuestI caught up with the Trump surrogates. They’re are arguing that the way Trump talks about women is normal. The “elites” have outdated notions and are disrespecting the average American.
I’m enjoying watching Ana Navarro. She’s a hot tempered Latina going off on Trump. She said she’s writing in her mom who was not even born in the USA. Haha.

I know you were joking but I voted yes.
Reasoning: OSHA mandates that dental health care workers wear gloves, surgical masks, protective eyewear, and protective clothing in specified circumstances to reduce the risk of exposures to bloodborne pathogens.
I would consider adult video actors another occupation that can be exposed to bloodborne pathogens. They deserve to be protected.
True it might drive video production out of state, but I doubt it. I figure the reason it is produced in LA is all the sweet young things that come to LA to be stars (huge supply of potential performers) and the large supply of infrastructure (stages, sets, crews). Few if any other cities are as well prepared. Besides, whether it drives business away should not be a consideration in protecting workers.

Most of us boomer females (along with senior females in the WWII generation) were used to hearing “locker room talk” from males, especially if we heard conversations in which they felt no one was listening. We KNEW from a young age that men called the shots in life and went along to get along at our jobs so we could keep them. We didn’t let leering men or their rude remarks affect us in any way, shape or form. H@ll, I was even approached by jeering pimps in Lincoln Continentals while out jogging in SD numerous times over a period of years! I just ran away from the road and went about my business. But this didn’t stop happening until the SDPD Vice Squad got a handle on the problem. (I never filed any complaints.) I’ve had several workplaces in the past which today would be considered “hotbeds of ongoing sexual harassment.” That’s the way it was then and there was nothing anyone could do about it.
Even Arianne Zuckor, the Days of Our Lives actor (a Gen X) whom some of Trumps comments on the bus were directed to stated today that she is not taking it personally and “isn’t surprised.”

I’ve posted here recently that women professionals in the entertainment industry were/are routinely exposed to language like Trump’s/Billy Bush’s and just let it roll off their backs. They understood the “lay of the land” before even entering the profession.
It doesn’t make these comments “right,” but we didn’t whine and scream sexual harassment for mere comments or males brushing up against us at work. We told them to bug off if we felt like it … yes, even if they were a “manager.” Methinks a big reason for “hostile work environments” today are due to whiny millennial females who routinely file false sexual harassment claims over comments they overhear. All their male co-workers have to walk on eggshells around them as long as they work alongside them.
Frankly, I’m tired of hearing about all these “bimbo eruptions” that the Clinton Campaign has recently dug up. These women have had up to 34 years to come forward to “complain” about the way Trump treated them but did not choose to do so until the Clinton campaign dug them out of the archives and made them an offer they couldn’t refuse. I don’t consider any of them “victims,” ESPecially the now 74-year-old former “beauty queen” who claimed she was once groped while Trump’s seat-mate on a commercial flight 34 years ago, lol …..

Bill gets accused years afterwards – his wife shouldn’t be prez.
Don gets accused years afterwards – they waited too long to say something, ignore them please.
October 13, 2016 at 5:11 PM #802243svelteParticipantEven Republican studies have shown attacking Hillary on her husband, her age, her stamina, her health or her looks does not work.
http://www.politico.com/story/2016/10/donald-trump-bill-clinton-attacks-republicans-229760
And what does Trump choose to emphasize?
His policies? What he’ll do as president? No, he focuses on Hillary’s husband and her health.
A 300 pound doofus.

He was accused shortly after or a few years after he sexually assaulted or conducted himself in a lewd and lascivious manner with many women (not to mention his dozens of consensual affairs). These women aren’t just now coming forward. Their stories (and related media frenzy accompanying them) is old, very well-known news which is all on the record.
Trump’s recent accusers (of him purportedly walking into a women’s locker room and “groping” his seat-mate on a plane) just came out of the blue after all these years. Where were these women when these incidences (presumably) took place? I’ve never heard of them and I have a l-o-o-ong memory.
No Shit they didn’t just come out and say something now. But when they did come out years ago, the events were years old at that point! I still remember wondering why it took them years after the events to say anything! Apparently you conveniently forget that part.
Paula Jones – claims event happened 1991, waits until 1994 (after he’s elected!) to file suit.
Juanita Broderick – claims event happened in 1978, waited until 1999 to say anything.
Kathleen Wiley – claims event happened in 1993, waited until 1998 to say anything.
Gennifer Flowers – claims affair ended in 1980 when Chelsea was born, waited until 1992 to say anything.
Do your research before you take a position, BG!

If you have a long memory, you wouldn’t have backed yourself into another corner.
Since you believe Trump’s innocence because the women didn’t report it immediately, you must now believe Bill’s also!
I’ll get you some water. Might make it easier for you to eat your words.

Revenge is a dish best served cold. I would save that up, too, if I were one of those women. Not because I didn’t care – but because it’s so much more valuable in the right context.
October 13, 2016 at 7:46 PM #802257FlyerInHiGuestPlus Bill clinton’s indiscretions were discussed at length in the country years ago. Bill is not running.
The allegations against Trump are new and have not been examined. He’s running.
Also making a woman responsible for her husband’s infidelities is adding insults to injury. Women don’t like that. Bad strategy on Trump’s part. We’ll see what the political scientists find after the elections.
October 13, 2016 at 8:09 PM #802258scaredyclassicParticipantone reason a person might delay in accusing trump is his habit of suing the living shit out of anyone who crosses him.

I’m OK if someone believes these women aren’t truthful if they wait until years later to say anything and use that rule with both Don and Bill.
I’m not OK if someone believes women discussing Don or Bill, but don’t believe the women discussing the other. That’s just insane and shows an inability to use critical thinking.
