Rancho Santa Fe or Chula Vista?

Folks,
I’m looking for some advice. After significant investigation and neighborhood touring, I’ve narrowed my prefered areas down to 2 areas, Rancho Santa Fe and Chula Vista. I’m racking my brain and can’t decide.

Any comments on the pros/cons?

I have 15 cats, and 2 ponies. Are there any regulations about pets?

Why not buy a house there and a house there, and alternate weeks?

Also consider buying halfway in between, in Serra Mesa. I see that there’s a “montgomery field” next to it, that’s gotta be a nice field to ride your ponies.
