I own 5 rental houses in east county, all on either qtr or half acre. I have also owned houses in North Park on lot sizes of 3 to 5K. Very tight.
Most families in RSD send their kids to Steel Canyon HS or Valhalla (highest API index in east county at 821). I have enjoyed my time living in RSD. It reaaly has a rural feeling with plenty of shopping, movie theaters, amenities etc. To me, more family oriented than retirement area? Not sure where that comment came from? There is also a higher concentration of Chaldeans in east county, than anywhere else in the county. There are a few persian palaces sprinkled thru-out. I like the mix of the population and over-all demographics. Good access to La Mesa and freeways too. A great place to raise a family.June 28, 2010 at 11:01 AM #573711PorkmanDelardoParticipantThere is a noticible difference in lot sizes and square footage of houses in east county vs SD city.
