Hi fromnj, your explanation clears things up. I can understand why the realtor you talked to also backed off.
Also Jim is a great realtor, and his information is posted earlier in this thread. If you want to send me email you can email me at [email protected].I would like you to seriously consider renting for a year or two. Especially if you are just moving out here. It would give you much more time to learn about the area, and more important, I think you will end up saving money, ESPECIALLY if you are thinking about buying a new home. I believe that the new homes being purchased in many developments will be cheaper in the next few years.

SDR: I don’t want to do business here on the blog, thanks…I might feel compelled to behave myself and that just wouldn’t do. At the very least, I would want to respect my suggested moratorium on new comers of two months or so.That said I don’t expect the same of you or anyone else. I usually only work with people I actually do have a relationship with or someone refered by someone very close to me.I prefer it that way.I would work with old time piggingtonians, if any would have me, when the consensus here is that it is time to get in. By that time,I will get real excited about doing business , if we haven’t been replaced by the real estate equivalent of a “quickie mart” I think you are a good candidate for business here and I hope you get it. This fellow Jim might be excellent also. I am impressed with sdr’s knowlege of the areas he has talked about.

Best wishesJuly 4, 2007 at 3:36 PM #63913fromnjParticipantI decided to seek help from Adam. We (actually my wife cannot wait) simply cannot wait for two or more years to see the bottom, but would like to have a nice place to live within next 6 months to a year since we still have 30+ years to retire anyway.
We are still a flaky buyer, but Adam undstood our situation. I feel that we are too new to live wisely in crazily expensive San Diego. However, I do not know how long it takes to establish network to live with comfort.
